I'm Sage Dearly, and I write historical romance in two flavors: deeply felt and beautifully restrained, or short, smutty, and absolutely not for the faint of heart. Sometimes you want a love story that unfolds slowly, full of longing glances and hard-won happily-ever-afters. And sometimes you want something that gets right to it. I write both — and I'm proud of every word.
My longer novels are clean, closed-door historical romances centered on BWWM couples navigating love, loyalty, and the complicated worlds they live in. Expect emotion, tension, and stories with real heart.
My shorter works? Those are for the adults in the room. Steamy, unapologetic erotica set against historical backdrops, with BWWM pairings at the center of every deliciously scandalous moment.
I came to historical romance because I believe these stories — especially ones centering Black women as the heroines they've always been — deserve to be told across every shade of the genre. Sweet or spicy, every Sage Dearly book is written with passion and a whole lot of fun.
